  1. Mother's Day Card - show me when you are done
    1. Front -
      1. Headline for title (Insert > Headline)
    2. Inside -
      1. Picture of you with shape outline -
        1. Take your picture in photobooth
        2. Add frame to picture (click on picture > Effects > Photo Workshop > Crop/Orientation)
      2. Mushy stuff to Mom (3 sentences and text must be larger and line spacing spread out)
      3. Back - Logo with your name (Insert > Custom Graphic > Logo)

    Wednesday, May 2nd

    1. Finish Business card
      1. Show me BEFORE you print
      2. Be sure to include:
        1. Name
        2. Phone number - not your REAL one
        3. Company name
        4. Address
        5. Graphic
        6. Bullets with information (Option-8 for a bullet)
      3. Remember each item should look different from the rest (different font, size, or location)
    2. Catapult information
      1. Go to the following website: Catapult Information
      2. Follow the directions on the web page
      3. Copy and paste the questions into Word
      4. Print it out
      5. Draw and label the catapult on the bottom or back of your paper
      6. Turn it into the basket
    • ____ Heading - name, date, period, on the right side of your paper, single space, size 12/14
    • ____ Title - centered, bold, underlined, and large font (size 20)
    • ____ Text - font size 12/14, (use Times, Chicago, Camria, or Ariel), indent paragraphs, not bold
    • ____ Picture - place it “in” text so the words go around it
    • ____ Double-spaced
    • ____ Spell check
    • ____ No more than one page

      2. Go to the "Types of Bridges" website and answer the questions
      3. Print out the worksheet
      4. Draw the kind of bridge you think you would make
      5. Turn it in.

        1. Text size - make sure it's easy to read
        2. Contrast - text and backgrounds should be different colors (one DARK, on LIGHT)
        3. Pictures - it should look like you spent some time on the pictures
